Ian Kerner, PhD, LMFT  is the co-Director of the sex therapy program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and contributes regularly on the topic of sexual health for CNN. He is the New York Times best-selling author of "She Comes First" (Harper Collins) which has been translated into more than a dozen languages and he maintains a private practice in NYC dedicated to honoring the centrality of sexuality in his patients’ lives.

About the Guest:

Ian Kerner, PhD, LMFT is a licensed psychotherapist and nationally recognized sex therapist who works with individuals and couples on a range of relational issues that often lead to distress. Ian is regularly quoted as an expert in various media, with recent features in The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Economist and NPR amongst others. Ian contributes regularly on the topic of relationships for CNN. He lectures frequently, with recent presentations for the Psychotherapy Networker Symposium, the Ackerman Institute, Tony Robbins, Goop, and TED 2021. Ian is the New York Times best-selling author of She Comes First (Harper Collins) which has been translated into more than a dozen languages, as well as the recently published So Tell Me About the Last Time You Had Sex (Grand Central). In addition to being a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), Ian is certified by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists and is also a member of the American Family Therapy Academy (AFTA). He is the co-founder and co-director of the Sex Therapy Program at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, one of the oldest and most respected not-for-profit mental health training and treatment facilities in New York City.
